Police launched an investigation after a hand grenade was recovered at a leading private hospital in Narahenpita, Colombo today, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said.
He said the hand grenade was found from a toilet on the first floor of the hospital.
The spokesman said the hand grenade was handed over to the STF and that the Narahenpita Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
Security also have been tighten around the hospital premises following the recovery of the hand grenade.
