The Head Office of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau has decided to close from today after 17 of its employees tested COVID positive, Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Chairman Anura Walpola said.
He told the Daily Mirror that the above positive persons were found through random PCR tests conducted on 42 employees at the department.
"Other than the above, another19 are awaiting PCR tests," he said.
Therefore, the Chairman advised the public not to visit the Mines Bureau Head office for services, but to use the bureau's online facilities to get their work done from Kurunegala, Gampaha and Kalutara.
Also said people can obtain the services from all divisional officers. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
