The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), in an Extraordinary Gazette notification, has directed all manufacturers and traders of domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to ensure that adequate 12.5kg LP gas cylinders are available for sale in the market.
The gazette has also prohibitted the manufacturers and traders from refusing to sell the 12.5kg gas cylinder.

I can remember the time when we bought cassettes to record music etc. That era disappeared with the coming of the CD and now MP3 format. In Sri Lanka we are now in a era of gazettes, NICE.

The Government is like a පෙට්ටි කඩේ. robbed the people with the gas. where is that professor who lied saying the gas price was reduced. screwed the people by robbing 2.5 kgs

Litro is a government owned company. Was this whole drama of the "new" cylinder done to benefit a private LPG company close to the government?

Litro, the state owned gas company is taking the entire nation for a ride. Even the minister is helpless as he does not have a backbone to take appropriate action.

Consumer affairs should take action and finish it in a day, not allow people to pay more for gas, this is day light robbery just like from the top.

Reduce the price by at least Rs.100/= and see the fun. Unless the top is playing a fast buck as usual.

Open the local market to all international companies.
