The National Fuel Pass QR System allocated fuel quotas will be increased next Tuesday, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said today.
The Minister said registered taxi three-wheelers engaged in hires will receive 22 litres per week, other three-wheelers 14 litres per week and motorcycles 14 litres per week.
He said in a Twitter message that cars will receive a quota of 40 litres per week.
The Minister said the increased new fuel quotas will be made available from midnight Tuesday. (Ajith Siriwardana)

Pumped fuel from Panadura today. IOC had all types. Others had 95. Just like you the 3 wheeler folk were with twisted faces! Because their main excuse for not reducing fares even after fuel was reduced more than 100/- a liter was that less quota. As for some commenting that sheds pump more than quota at a higher fee- I have got many times with absolutely no increased price.

Demand will be the same as no money to pump fuel while Ranil jacking prices of all the essentials to meet the i m f demands.
