The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Lanka IOC (LIOC) are continuing to distribute fuel islandwide and there will be sufficient fuel stocks available in all fuel stations by tomorrow (Sunday), Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
The CPC is also reviewing data of fuel orders placed and stocks maintained at all fuel stations in the past week.
Initial reports have identified that 121 fuel stations have not placed any orders between May 27 and 31. Many other fuel stations have not placed adequate orders to maintain minimum stocks.
CPC fuel stations are required to maintain a minimum stock of 50%. Licenses of fuel stations that have violated the conditions of their contracts will be terminated after reviewing.
The list of fuel stations that had not placed orders and daily islandwide fuel purchases by CPC dealers from May 22 are as follows: (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

This is our majority people want regardless if we starve or no health facilities. As long as there are no lines on the street for fuel and gas we are so happy country.

Sufficient fuel tomorrow means there is not enough today. Deliberate delay in placing orders is to create a shortage and award contracts to preferred suppliers.
