A 70-year-old woman who was undergoing self-quarantine at home at Dambagalle in Monaragala died after being admitted to the Monaragala General Hospital due to a severe asthma attack.
The woman and her family members were directed to undergo self-quarantine after the daughter of the deceased woman had travelled in a bus in which an employee of the Minuwangoda Brandix factory, who was tested positive for Covid-19, had also travelled.
A PCR test to be carried out on the deceased woman whose body had been sealed and kept at the hospital until test results arrive. (Nayanajeewa Bandara)
