A stock of 1.6 million doses of Sinopharm vaccines donated by the Chinese Government arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning.
Also, 1.6 million syringes were brought from China along with the vaccines.
State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana said this was the largest consignment of donation of Sinopharm vaccines given to Sri Lanka by China.
Accordingly, the number of Sinopharm vaccines given by the Chinese Government to Sri Lanka so far has increased to 2.7 million.
