Certain sections of Anti-corruption Bill inconsistent with Constitution: Speaker

The Supreme Court has observed that certain sections of the Anti-corruption Bill are inconsistent with the Constitution and can be passed if amendments set out by the Supreme Court are made, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene announced in Parliament today.

    Anti corruption bill should be gone trough a special commission to prosecute all government officials for any elegal misleading corruption bribery activities mismanagement etc anonymous sources can lodge complains to investigate offenders like in Australia America new Zealand and devolp nation indipendent Royal commission with no nonnsece reform plan sri lanka have to change in every aspect for future devoloments prosperity etc...the country need to have a system that help better future tommorow our past and present systems have failed due to lack of misleading influence favours

    There is should be a clause in the bill to compensate if the arrested people are kept is jail for years and years without any proper charges and also released after that without any charges.We have seen in the past their personal lives are spoiled by Govt.

    We have an AG and a Minister of Justice who cannot draft a proper bill repeatedly without violating the rights of the people enshrined in the Constitution. Should they continue to hold these positions?
