The Department of Immigration and Emigration had decided to terminate the visa issued to Fraser for violating visa conditions and had informed her to leave the country by 15th of  August.

The petitioner is seeking an order to quash decision of Department of Immigration and Emigration to deport her in an arbitrary manner.

PLEASE ASK YOUR COUNTRY PEOPLE , ENGLISH MEN , TO DEPORT ALL OUR POLITICIANS AND THEIR HENCHMEN.

Uncle Paradise Friday, 12 August 2022 06:38 PM

Good for you! Please point out that the current president did in fact invite tourists to come and join the protests and hold placards asking the president to 'Go Home'. Jaya wewa!

No need govenment alianate UK Friday, 12 August 2022 06:44 PM

UK will try to influence IMF conditions on the loan. I don't know why there is so much anger against the British. Sure at the time of independence, but that's long gone, and the country gone so far downhill, it's just something like what happened 500 years go. She will also probably get aid for international supporters for her plight, who will see this deportation as an attempt to repress free expression.

Ravi Soysa Friday, 12 August 2022 07:04 PM

She is better on our side than against us!! And actually, there is no reason to deport her. Not by any reasonable consideration.

    Sriyanijayatilaka Friday, 12 August 2022 07:21 PM

This is disgusting how the people in forces handle this kind of situations… we should be welcoming tourists !!! She has a right to protest as she’s experiencing the situation in Srilanka…. She’s just being loyal to our nation !!! Disgusting people in power…

    Mahesh Friday, 12 August 2022 07:24 PM

If the Immigration dept to reject her visa based on a different motive then this decision should be quashed . Apparently she has received a call prior to rejection on her participation in protest. Who are those individuals and what influence have they on the Immigration Controller and bring those culprits including the controller on the books

    Range Friday, 12 August 2022 07:28 PM

Good to see someone is challenging status-quo

Gamini Peris Friday, 12 August 2022 07:38 PM

This is the so called democracy in this country.

Deep State Actress Friday, 12 August 2022 07:44 PM

Now it can be reasonably assumed that she is a political espionage tourist and not a medical tourist. A genuine medical tourist will get so disgusted by now would have gladly left the country.

    Adwani Friday, 12 August 2022 08:35 PM

There are terms and conditions governing the issue of Visas, unless, it is proved that she is a journalist.

Devendra William Friday, 12 August 2022 08:38 PM

The British national should know that the decision of the Immigration is in terms of Immigration

    Lankan Friday, 12 August 2022 08:50 PM

You are not apart from us...we are together...authorities should consider and withdraw the ban to leave you to stay in our beautiful Island..and should grant you special service..dont worry talk to your embassy..for sure the srilankan government will listen

    mario Friday, 12 August 2022 09:04 PM

Our PM said tourist can take part in protest if they visit sri lanka during a tv interview

Dolly Dias Friday, 12 August 2022 10:11 PM

This British woman, Kayleigh Fraser must be deported. She should have highlighted what the British did to Sri Lanka while they forcibly occupied Sri Lanka. She should also highlight British forces' human rights violations in Iraq and Afghanistan. These people are just trying to get attention at our cost. Pls Deport her and ban her from returning to Sri Lanka for a few more years. Dolly

Dravid Bakmeena Friday, 12 August 2022 10:16 PM

many in this forum may not know reason for deportation is she was not taking any medical treatment but was staying at a top home in plush colombo city engaged apparently in the oldest profession! so I suppose immigration has their reasons! its not for the protests as I understood

Deep State Actress, running away from bullies like RW and his bootlickers, might be an accepted norm for you and some of your countrymen. But the lady is fighting for justice, if you cant appreciate her, keep your mouth shut. Because of people like you we are on queues for 24 hrs. for 4 liters of fuel. While Namal baby who was accused of swindling millions of dollars is in parliament.

    GHT Friday, 12 August 2022 11:33 PM

Hope you will win the case. If not British Govt. together with the US will bring economic sanction on Sri Lanka.

    Mandayan Saturday, 13 August 2022 01:59 AM

The UNP Presidents always do these against the British. Last time Premadasa deported the British High Commissioner David Gladstone. Let’s understand that she was, like many YouTubers, she was earning a living by social media to support her stay. She was publishing what see saw in Colombo that changed the presidency. As long as she not sharing her view, it shouldn’t be taken as violation of her visas. As of now we have many Lankans in India as YouTubers. This is the problem when the rulers do not catch with the modern trends.

Andrew Fernando Saturday, 13 August 2022 02:20 AM

I will never visit Sri Lanka again and I will not tell my friends to visit Sri Lanka. You should be ashamed of yourselves for how this innocent woman has been treated.

    Seqi Sunday, 14 August 2022 06:48 AM

    Good riddance.

    Lion Saturday, 13 August 2022 02:59 AM

She should be back the lawyers who supported the aragalaya,

Peterpalan Arankattam Saturday, 13 August 2022 03:45 AM

Lady, inform the whole world how the politicians of this country behave without a legal system - Thieves and Murdorers are the decision makers of this country - including the current so called (elected by crooks) is himself a Bank Robber of billions of dollars!!

    Cheers Saturday, 13 August 2022 04:22 AM

Touris visa breach she has violated the rights of the visit visa and she might seek assylum in Sri lanka and chase her away like another Brit adele balasingham also from UK trained to suicide tamil children. Banned her for ever

    DW Saturday, 13 August 2022 06:32 AM

Sri Lankan politicians and their henchmen have property and assets in the UK that were purchased from stolen public money. How about getting the attention of the UK government?

    DPerera Saturday, 13 August 2022 08:54 AM

If she is not taking medical treatments in Sri Lanka, she should go back to her country

    Rasidu Saturday, 13 August 2022 09:42 AM

Just because she is ill doesn't take away her feeling to support a good cause. If Sri Lankan did same, would he or she be in jail or maltreated by the police or worse by the military/army.

    saliya Saturday, 13 August 2022 12:22 PM

all this support only because she is a Brit- Can imagine how the Sinhalese would have reacted if it were an Indian woman. Get out of your colonial mentality, it is 75 years since you got freedom from the Brits

    Nihal S Saturday, 13 August 2022 12:39 PM

This is bad publicity for the country, trying to recover on tourism revenue. Is it worth deporting her? What will be gained? Government still does not think global implications in its decisions. Rajapakse mindset.

Nalin Perera Saturday, 13 August 2022 01:06 PM

She has been extending her visa giving bogus reasons. She is living a perfectly healthy life with her beach boy friend down south. She is not a tourist. There are many back packer westerners living here who hardly bring much dollars to the country. She should be kicked out immediately.

    N Andhasena Saturday, 13 August 2022 01:22 PM

Come on Dolly! The British have made up a hundred fold for their past actions. Independence from Britain was the death knell for Sri Lanka. Only politicians had the independence to plunder and destroy the country. Sir Stamford Raffles turned Singapore into one of the most prosperous and safe countries on the planet. Lew Kwan Yew continued. We went backwards to the point of bankruptcy and destruction. Kayleigh Frazer is not a criminal like the majority of our politicians and some in the police.

    L De Silva Saturday, 13 August 2022 02:28 PM

Good Riddance!!! Does she think because she's of white skin she ought to get special treatment!!???
