Body of girl gone missing from Atulugama recovered

The body of 9-year old girl who was reported missing from Atulugama, Bandaragama yesterday has been recovered in a marshy land near her home.

Several police teams were deployed to locate the girl following a complaint that she had gone missing since 10.00 am yesterday.

According to the complaint, the girl had gone to a nearby shop to buy some food items and  never returned home. 

The Bandaragama Police is conducting further investigation.
