Sri Lanka’s first Test Captain Bandula Warnapura passed away at the age of 68 while under treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
He was admitted to a private hospital a few days ago following heart complications.
He played in 4 Test matches and 12 One-Day Internationals during his international cricketing career from 1975 to 1982.

Deepest sympathies to the family. SLC was high handed for imposing a 25 year ban for infamous SA tour by him and many others, resulting the the country losing his services in all fronts. This was like a death penalty and unacceptable
