Former Minister Arjuna Ranatunga had informed UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe that he was not willing to accept the senior Vice Chairman's post of the party.
Sources close to Mr. Wickremesinghe said that a letter has been sent to him by Mr. Ranatunga informing his stance.
"I have decided not to accept the senior vice Chairman's post as the reforms of the party had not taken place to my satisfaction," he said.
The Daily Mirror reliably learns that both Arjuna Ranatunga and Navin Dissanayake would announce their next move today. (Yohan Perera)
