78-year-old German lady missing in Meemure

A-78-year-old German lady who was visiting Meemure in Udadumbara with a group of 11 German nationals went missing since yesterday, police said.

They said three men and eight women had been engaged in mountain climbing and the missing lady had returned to the bus halfway through saying that she was unable to continue but the others had found that she was not in the bus on their return and had complained to the Udadumbara police about her disappearance.

Police said search operations were underway to locate her.
