65-year-old estate worker dies in wasp attack

A 65-year-old estate worker was killed and four others hospitalised following a wasp attack at Norwood in Hatton, police said.

Five estate workers including three women who were working in the Norwood Irab estate had come under the wasp attack this afternoon.

One male worker died after being admitted to the Glankan Hospital where the others are being treated now.

    I lived here in the 1960's. Wasp problem was there even at that time. I remember a female plucker while trying to escape from wasps fell down a stone terrace, broke her leg and was crippled for the rest of her life. This problem needs to be tackled in a more scientific manner.
