A 23-year-old soldier from Pallepola was found dead outside the public toilet of the Dambulla Bus Terminal today, the Army said.
It said the victim was a soldier attached to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force at Kosgama.
The Army said the victim who was on leave has reported to duty on April 16 at the SF Regimental Headquarters at Naula, the nearest camp to his residence.
However, he has been hospitalized and was undergoing treatment for epilepsy from April 16 to 30.
After being discharged from the hospital, he has been on his way to the Kosgama Camp.
It was reported that the soldier was found unconscious in front of the public toilet, but due to CoronaVirus fears no one went near him, Only after nearly 30 minutes 2 individuals took him to the Dambulla Hospital. The health officials have taken samples for a PCR test and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

If he has epilepsy, he would not have passed his Medical Test. If he had been discharged from Hospital clear of his ailment, it needs to be investigated why he developed it again just discharged from hospital... it means he has not been treated properly. Everything will be swept under the carpet.
