Wonderful start to a teaching career.Simply send home all the law breakers for they are setting bad examples .How can they discipline students. We Sri Lankans don't know how to manage liquor.

My father years ago commenting on a similar incident said that we are a primitive people and British colonial rule and law curbed our excesses and moderated our behaviour. Our initiated pogroms since independence and an increasing number of primitive actions is evidence that our behaviour has reverted back to pre colonial times

Excellent! This ought to open the eyes of the authorities to the hell that awaits this society when these ruffians end up shaping our children for the future. It should be immediate expulsion for the 40 thugs dressed in teacher clothing.

We don’t need teacher training , what we need is people with good university degrees then Teaching is just common sense. Do we have training to be Bank Managers ? What we need is a person who had a good university education probably in economics or finance, then he or she would learn things while at work. Similarly no need to have teacher training colleges, waste of time and resources. In summary what you should have to be a good teacher are (1) a good university degree (2) a passion for teaching (3) just common sense.

Is this pro-aragalaya and anti-aragalaya clash? They are all of same designation, same qualification, same employment, and speaking same language. May be they clashed on the dress code! That is reasonable.
