Twelve out of 16 Kelaniya university undergraduates who were arrested in connection with the removal of newly installed CCTV cameras at the university premises were released on police bail, Police Spokesman Jaliya Senaratne said.
He said the other four students including the monk will be charged under the Public Property Act and would be produced in the Mahara Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
The monk and three students were arrested over the incident by the Kiribathgoda Police this afternoon while other 12 students surrendered.
