1000 cc motorcycles that have been so far imported to the country can be registered at the Department of Motor Traffic, the Commissioner General said.

A gazette notification has been issued regarding new registrations. Earlier only motorcycles below the capacity of 600 cc were registered under the existing Motor Traffic Act.

He said the 1000 cc motorcycles could only be used for racing events. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

What is going on? The citizens think of going back to the bottle lamp, now we have 1000cc bikes for racing. This can be only understood by the "so called patriots".

What is wrong if the sons of Rich and Powerful people ride a 1000 cc bike? They have to spend the money ill gotten by their powerful fathers and they have all the rights for it.

Good now "Boys can be Boys"

    ramkumar Tuesday, 23 April 2013 02:30 AM

Why registration of RMV required if only for racing purpose. Normally racing bike don't require registration, which has no lights, signals, horn etc. Some thing is fishy.

    ANTON Tuesday, 23 April 2013 02:33 AM

SEEMS ONE BIG SHOT HAS IMPORTED A LOT OF 1000 cc BIKES.

Road Runner Tuesday, 23 April 2013 12:51 AM

I agree 100% with you. Small bikes license fee increased to burden poor people and this may be to remove small bikes from road in order to give way to 1000 cc bikes. miracle of asia.
