Surveillance cameras are on
Surveillance cameras, also known as Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera’s that have been setup in Colombo City were activated a short while ago by Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
There are 108 Cameras in 28 locations, covering the entirety of Colombo City have been installed. The cameras are to be monitored by a special unit from the Mounted Police Division building in Fort.

This is a good move. can the police monitor the traffic situ & update motorist whether to avoid the said street & take alternative routes? messages can be transmitted through radio stations or even mobile phones via text. have a partnership with the authorities of the radio stations & mobile phone operators. this will help to ease the traffic, save time & fuel.

President MR, please make sure Ministers behave same way Gothabaya wants us to behave. I can see where the govt is heading - we will be the next Singapore, and that is just what we need. MR, pls ensure cleanup goes all the way beginning from top to bottom, without fear or favour.
