Sisira Rathnayake new JSC Secretary
Former Colombo District Judge Sisira Rathnayake has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). He replaces Manjula Tillakaratne who is transferred as the Supernumerary District Judge of Ratnapura, it is learnt.
Judge Rathnayake served as the District Judge of Colombo and was twice elected as the President of the Judicial Service Association, a body comprising judges from the original courts, the Magistrate Court and District court across the island.
From the Colombo District Court, Judge Rathnayake was promoted as a High Court Judge and was appointed as the High Court Judge in Matara. Before he was appointed as the JSC secretary he was serving as the High Court judge of Avissawella.(Susitha R. Fernando )
