More than 400 former LTTE suspects including 198 child soldiers were released to their families at a function in Jaffna this morning. Among the 425 former LTTE suspects handed over to their families were 189 former child soldiers who were being educated at a school in Ratmalana. (Daily Mirror online)

Who are no more a threat to the country is released. Who is still a threat to the national security is jailed .

A good gesture. After years of being brain washed, 1 year rehabilitation may not make them good citizens. They need unobtrusive monitoring, understanding and continued support to ensure that they do not drift back.
