Kelanitissa oil pipeline ablaze

A fire broke out when an oil pipeline connecting the Kelanitissa Power Station exploded near the Kelaniya Bridge this afternoon. The fire however was doused by the Colombo Fire Brigade. A spokesman of the Colombo Fire Brigade said that the fire did not cause any serious damage.

However oil from the pipeline was believed to have flowed towards houses close to the area and this resulted in three houses catching fire injuring at least five people, residents said. (SD)

for heavens sake it's an accident, and of course there must be someone responsible, and that person has to be dealt with with proper disciplinary procedures. but please don't try to see politics in everything

And by the way in Sri Lanka either you have to be an MP, or a beggar, all segments of people in between will just disappear.
