I bet that if SF tried to leave the Country, he would still be stopped at the Airport!
Friday, 29 January 2010 03:32 PM
Great news. Now make full use of your green card.
Friday, 29 January 2010 05:23 PM
Not funny, Tissa. Sad! The whole world is shocked, by this disgraceful drama.
Friday, 29 January 2010 05:34 PM
In times of great adversity, it is wise to step-back; lie low; take note of the situ; and then, take the lost steps, in leaps and bounds! This is what happened, during the good old days of our Kings, too!
Friday, 29 January 2010 05:50 PM
Please do not give-up! Even President Obama lost his first election to the Senate. You have 4 million voters (actually, more) - their future is in your hands!
Friday, 29 January 2010 05:52 PM
Vanish the angel and live with the devil!
Friday, 29 January 2010 06:33 PM
SF, WE ARE WITH YOU, FOREVER!
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:34 PM
But, SF said his passport was blacklisted?
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:53 PM
SF is both an OFFICER & a GENTLEMAN! Remember General Dwight D. Eisenhower of the US and General Charles De Gaulle of France? Both were 'war heroes'!
Friday, 29 January 2010 09:04 PM
I notice that though lots of people comment on important issues, their knowledge is very basic. What they say about General Fonseka sounds like 'watti amma' gossip - really petty stuff!
Friday, 29 January 2010 03:27 PM
I don't find a single comment published against SF is marked as good. The truth never lies beneath.....!
Saturday, 30 January 2010 06:47 AM
Hey Ginger stop your Pompous Pontification.
Saturday, 30 January 2010 07:30 AM
Abdul, please make sure that he does not leave the country before the General Elections. He has to contest the forthcoming General Elections and the verdict will be as 'galey ketuwa wagey' 'apeth naha'.
Any bets, my nose for your's?
Saturday, 30 January 2010 07:34 AM
Richard
SF will only get the JVP vote, which is less than 200,000 maximum.
The UNP will contest along with SLMC, Mano etc, etc.....
Saturday, 30 January 2010 07:52 AM
Ane Gono. 4 milions votes dont belong to SF. its UNP's votes. if SF contest general election from his NDF party you can see how many vots he can get. Idiot man
Saturday, 30 January 2010 08:01 AM
Sarath Fonseka would been able to live like a real hero forever had his selfish motives got hold of him. He has now become a disgraced "Sorry Fonseka". This man is not what he claims to be but a power hungry puppet with nothing to show for. There is a difference between becoming a leader by choice or leader by force. Latter is what is applicable to SF as he is trying to be a dictator. Our nation DOES NOT NEED democracies compromised. Man should use a little brain and keep his trashy mouth shut so he will not dig a deeper whole and show the world the vulnerability of the Sinhalese. SHAME SHAME SHAME...!
Saturday, 30 January 2010 09:18 AM
You live in peace now because of the sacrifices he's made. Don't be so ungrateful. He's wounded not just once, but thrice in the battlefield.
Saturday, 30 January 2010 09:45 AM
Is this a trick ogf Gotabahya to catch SF at the Airport?I do not think SF is such a fool to listen to Government Dum Heads.
Saturday, 30 January 2010 10:01 AM
Mr. Hulugalla,
Is this the democracy?
We sri lankans need more time to be civilised.
PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT
iI am so sad to see this kind of situation!!!
So long Mr Hulugalla
Saturday, 30 January 2010 10:32 AM
Mr. Tissa
Just want to know whether you are reading blindly or not. Just open your eyes and see still the same amount of peoples are supporting to him, more than the government side.
Still we are with that real hero, no one can prevent that
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:53 AM
IF FONSEKA WAS FREE , WHY YOU GOT HIS HOTEL SURROUNDED WITH POLICE & TROOPS, WHAT A DEMO- CRACY PREVAILING IN THIS COUNTRY.
Friday, 29 January 2010 07:20 AM
It is really funny, now one can not find any SF supporters to comment on any news item about him. this proves all these who wrote supporting SF was not really keen in supporting him but was to discredit the President and the SL government including politicians, officials and judiciary
Friday, 29 January 2010 07:27 AM
Then dont stop him from leaving. His safety is important. Or if you have anything to hide you will stop him leaving
Friday, 29 January 2010 07:29 AM
One day “THE COUP THEORY” .......and next day change it due to International pressure. God bless Mihinland and it’s ignorant people.
Friday, 29 January 2010 07:31 AM
I think he cant come to public now due to shame of the defeat. Ayyo SF you were a hero for us after the war. But now you are just a rotten for the country after revealing your real colors in the army life.
Friday, 29 January 2010 07:53 AM
A huge "i" wash.... SF pls. dont bite/take this bullet... U are a wise General! God has better plans for you!
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:31 AM
yes that is good. he might feel uncomfortable in staying in SL after his aligation to gain political advantage which made his own army also much uncomfortable.
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:33 AM
This is time for escap.....................................safe your life...Still your our hero
Friday, 29 January 2010 08:36 AM

Please GeneraL, please do not go abroad.. we love you, we need you... we need you to lead the country...
Friday, 29 January 2010 09:04 AM
Sf please vanish .let us leave in peace
Friday, 29 January 2010 09:05 AM
Hey Tissa..
please open and see the world, you are blind....
SF is the real hero for ever.. not a fraud hero...
Friday, 29 January 2010 09:12 AM
This the time for MR to show how compassionate he is and save the general's face and protect him by keeping him in our country. No matter how much feathers he ruffled he's still SL's war hero. If we let the US get hold of him all the war crimes fiasco might start again. This might be a good way to smack the war crime mongers in the US in the face.
Friday, 29 January 2010 02:07 PM
Fonseka had reached the end of his ego trip. Those political parties and individuals that put together his common soup are in the process of abandoning him.
SF had brought wild allegation against Sri Lankan security forces. He should not be allowed to leave SL. We are told that all retired army officers are bound by the army rules and regulations for three years since retirement. During his campaign SF had said he would court marshal lot of high ranking officers for involving in politics when he wins the Presidency on 26th. Now that he lost it, he should be questioned about his conduct while he was CDS. And all those things that came out from his foul mouth. He should be questioned about those white flags etc and court marshal for divulging state secrets.
Friday, 29 January 2010 02:10 PM
ITs you who were blind Thushara by all the propaganda that was done. 58% of voters have spoken. EU and Asian election monitors including your own Ranil have ruled out that the election has been free and fair except for a few minor incidents. Who is blind? you or Ranil??
Friday, 29 January 2010 02:20 PM
Erm... Isnt he the one who mentioned to the foreign media that he wants to go abroad for a while?!!
Friday, 29 January 2010 02:51 PM
Hulugalle says SF can leave the country. But then WHY? is the airport advised not to let SF leave the country??. You must be a joker. Read n see how many SF supporters are there still.
