Six-Year-old girl swept away at Madilla beach in Tangalle
Colombo, August 13 (Daily Mirror) - A six-year-old girl was swept away by strong waves this morning while walking along the Madilla Beach in Tangalle, police said.
According to the Tangalle Police, the child’s family, residents of Tangalle, had gone on a picnic and lodged at a local guest house. The tragedy occurred as they were walking on the beach.
The victim was a student of a leading girls’ school in Colombo.
