The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the Prisons Department has surpassed 3,000 today.
Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said s total of 2,984 inmates and 103 prison officers have contracted the virus as of this morning.
Among the total cases, 2,795 are males and 189 are females. Also, 390 are convicted inmates while 2,594 are remandees.
Meanwhile, four inmates have so far died due to the Covid-19 infection. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

God must have sent the virus into the prison to punish those who are likely to be freed.

Do something !! Yiu can't let them die. If you wait, it will get more difficult to control the situation, even outside prison.
