NDF to propose Select Committee to review educational qualifications of NPP MPs

The New Democratic Front (NDF) Parliamentary Group Leader, Jeewan Thondaman, is expected to propose the establishment of a select committee to scrutinize the educational qualifications of all Members of Parliament (MPs) of National People’s Power (NPP).

Not only NPP Mp's but all Mp's to make sure all have sat for examinations properly as well. If anyone found sat for exams privately will have their qualifications scrapped as well.

It is like closing the stable after horse had run away. NPP should have reviewed educational qualifications and other merits before they were selected to contest Parliamentary election.

First look after your community and free them from being overworked housemaids and drivers. Build houses for them and give them new vocational training. Then you get married to a plantation girl to show that you have genuine concern for their welfare. Only after that start initiatives to seek cheap publicity like what you are doing now.

First initiate a committee to investigate how the two list members crept into parliament. Then as the NDF leader has aways done appoint another committee to investigate the findings of the first committee.

Thondaman is loosing power among estate workers and it was evident during the last election. During the time of Ranil he behaved like a thug and even intimidate the police personals. Remember that time is over and M P like Ambika will soon become the queen of estate workers when she,together with the Minister Samantha Vidayrathna start to improve the living condition of poor estate workers.

The reason NDF is going to propose a Select Committee to review Educational Qualifications of only NPP MPs is because MPs of NDF do not claim to have to any have qualifications because they do not have any. However, former (UNP) and current NDF MPs have expertise on Bonds Scam, demanding Commissions, Bribes, giving Liquor Licenses to friends and relatives and having overseas trips using public funds.
