These vehicle bought using public funds should have been issued to public officials. Wasn't there a process for a proper handover in a responsible way? It is the right of the public to know previous users of these vehicles. Can the Government disclose it?

What a waste!! Even the building is not maintained. Now to maintain this we have to pay for it through our taxes but to give an increased interest rate for senior citizens there no provision.

Who ever was in charge should be held responsible. The last person who was using these vehicles should also be charged as well these vehicles were brought with taxpayers money. We need justice.

We Sinhalese are culturally selfish fellows. This selfishness has driven this country to what it is now. When a Minister orders us to provide something, even if it is illegal, we will bow, salivate, manipulate and do it because we know we can get something from doing this activity, but never thinking that it is illegal and disaster to the functioning of the country. Thereafter, this same Minister will sing patriotic baila and we Sinhalese will clap and dance after doing all the unpatriotic work for the Politician. This is our low caste culture. It doesn't take only this Minister to bankrupt the Nation, but it is together with support from those around him this happens.

Vehicles are old scrap. (Except a few) . Building is a waste. Can be much better utilized. But NOT as state entities.

All these vehicles either have engine, gearbox or a major issue or accident that costs a lot. The euro brands parts costs are extremely high unless you get a matching japs parts. What should be done is get these vehicles inspected with a professional company and get an aprox cost.estimate for repair and identify vehicle market value. Then auction all these luxury vehicles and pass a law preventing import of luxury vehicles with state money for ministerial usage. It is fine for president and pm to have high end vehicles considering the security aspect. Also investigate who gave permission to import these vehicles and fine them too for importing high cost vehicles.

Also give this building for a hotel on long term rental basis so that government can get regular income. Parliament building also should be given on long term rent for a hotel project. For parliament sessions, get the western province chief secretary office on perment basis as we do not need chief ministers anymore. The staff at evry chief secretary office islandwide can be allocated to different ministries or send them on pension if they are nearing retiring age

Get these vehicles fixed and sell it. Use the money for good project. All these are waste from the previous government. Also get the building fixed before it crash . It can be used to replace rented government office where large amount of money paid as rent.
