Commissioner General of Labour writes to the Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka requesting to grant leave for pregnant mothers working at BOI zones considering the prevailing COVID outbreak in the county.

Commissioner General of Labour Prabath Chandrakeerthi said that following a special circular, steps have been taken not to call pregnant female staffers for service in state institutions.

Therefore he requested the BIC Chairman to consider allowing leave for pregnant mothers.
