Extension of emergency approved by Parliament

Colombo, June 9 (Daily Mirror) - The extension of the state of emergency for another month was approved by a majority of 128 votes. 

Some 135 members of Parliament voted in favour while seven voted against. Eighty two MPs were absent during the time of voting.
