Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - A bus carrying 23 passengers was caught in a flood this morning at Kumbukkana on the Monaragala-Colombo main road, but all passengers were rescued safely, the police said.

They said the incident occurred as the bus, traveling from Monaragala to Colombo, attempted to cross a bridge near the Ranga Hotel, where water levels had risen to around six feet, police said.

With the help of tractors in the area, the bus was pulled back to safety. Authorities confirmed that all 23 passengers escaped unharmed.
