A batch of 266 Sri Lankan expatriates who were unable to return to Sri Lanka due to harassment by their employers, arrived at the BIA from United Arab Emirates (UAE) this morning, Airport Duty Manager said.
He said those passengers landed at the airport at 5.30 a.m today by a special SriLankan Airlines aircraft from Dubai.
He said the majority of the passengers were females.
The group was brought under the government's repatriation programme.
They were sent to quarantine centres after conducting PCR tests at the airport. (T.K.G. Kapila)
