Dolphin Beach, located on the unspoilt Alankuda Beach in Kalpitiya, was recently awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by TripAdvisor.

TripAdivisor is the world’s largest travel website and features independent reviews of hotels by its members. The ‘Certificate of Excellence’ is presented to hospitality establishments which have consistently maintained high ratings of guest satisfaction on TripAdvisor.

Dallas Martenstyn, Managing Director of Makara Resorts, which owns and operates Dolphin Beach said, “It gives us a great sense of accomplishment to have received this accolade from TripAdvisor in just our second year of operation. We have always strived to go over and above guest expectations and offer a truly unique experience. I believe our combined efforts have now borne fruit and we hope to maintain the high standards we uphold.”

Commenting on the importance of the ‘Certificate of Excellence’ he said, “It is important to note that TripAdvisor makes this presentation based on independent guest reviews, and not on mass scale surveys. Therefore, it paints a very accurate picture of what a guest can expect of an establishment.”

He went on to say, “With the global traveller now being more web savvy, online reviews are very often the make or break point on deciding on a holiday destination. We consider TripAdvisor an invaluable outlet to reinforce the reputation of Dolphin Beach.”

Dolphin Beach is a blissfully secluded, one of a kind resort on the golden beaches of Alankuda. Its uniqueness lies in its luxury tented accommodation, replete with air-conditioning, which presents a charming and romantic ambience.

The theme of the property follows an eclectic blend of rustic and modern design. The highlight at Dolphin Beach is the unforgettable experience of dolphin and whale watching between the months of November and April.
