Celebrity Chef Marco Pierre White acclaims Cinnamon Air

Cinnamon Air, Sri Lanka’s premier domestic airline,is glad to have had world-famous culinary legend Marco Pierre White on board during his visit to Sri Lanka organised by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in collaboration with the British High Commission and SriLankan Airlines. 


Marco Pierre White chose Cinnamon Air to travel across the island while he was in Sri Lanka. He flew from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to Castlereagh Reservoir, Hatton on 19th January and from Hatton to Minneriya on 20th January. Also, on 22nd January, he flew fromBIA to Sigiriya and on 23rd, to Tissa Lake (Tissamaharama) from Colombo (Waters Edge). Cinnamon Air was able to offer Marco Pierre White with access to a wide array of destinations in Sri Lanka thanks to the capability of landing on water and land using the amphibian aircraft. Also, Marco Pierre White wasthrilled tohave travelled in an amphibian aircraft as this was his first timelanding and taking off on water. He stated that his experience with Cinnamon Air was ‘fantastic’.


Cinnamon Air, owned and operated by Saffron Aviation (Pvt) Limited, is a joint venture between Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate, John Keells Holdings, MMBL Leisure Holdings (a part of the Mercantile Merchant Bank Group) and Phoenix Ventures (parent of the Brandix Group, Sri Lanka’s largest garment manufacturer).
