The All Share Price Index dipped marginally to close at 6,445.8 points (-0.1%), whilst the Milanka Price Index also dipped marginally to close at 6,915.9 points (-0.0%).
 

The total turnover was LKR1,896.8 mn (USD17,068.3 k)  vs. 12-month average daily turnover of LKR2,362.9 mn (USD21,262.5 k) whilst the volume traded for the day was 149,561 k against the 12-month average daily volume of 74,110 k.

Top traded counters

Colombo bourse continued to slide further, for the fourth consecutive day for the week. Heavy weight John Keells Holdings continued to attract institutional and high net worth interest where the counter contributed for circa 26% of day’s turnover. Retail and high net worth interest continued in Laugfs Gas (Voting) whilst the company listed 52.0 mn non voting shares on Diri Savi board today.  Dialog Axiata saw renewed institutional interest whilst institutional and high net worth interest continued in Tokyo Cement (Non Voting).

 

A net outflow of foreign funds were seen during the day, where foreign purchases amounted to LKR340.0 mn (USD3,059.5 k), whilst foreign sales amounted to LKR721.4 mn (USD6,491.5 k).


Market capitalization is at LKR2,143.3 bn. YTD market performance is up 90.4%.
