Kartik Tyagi celebrates a dismissal
Half centuries by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Atharva Ankolekar and a four-wicket haul by Kartik Tyagi paved the way for India Under-19 to record a comfortable 74-run win over Australia Under-19 in the ICC Under-19 World Cup Cricket Tournament Super Eight quarter-final encounter played at Potchefstroom, South Africa yesterday.
India Under-19 taking first lease of the wicket made a modest 213 and Australia were bowled out for 159 in reply.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Under-19 and Scotland Under-19 advanced to the Plate semi-finals when they came out easy winners in their respective quarter-final matches played yesterday.
Zimbabwe U19 recorded a convincing 95-run win over Canada Under-19 while Scotland Under-19 outclassed United Arab Emirates (UAE) Under-19 by seven wickets.
