S. Thomas’ College put up a stunning performance to beat St. Peter’s College 20-19 in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament opening fixture played for the Archibald Perera Memorial Trophy at Mount Lavinia.
Meanwhile, Royal College launched their campaign with a rousing 62-6 win over Maliyadeva College at the Royal Sports Complex in Reid Avenue.
In addition, St. Joseph’s College defeated Science College, Mount Lavinia 20-14 at Longden Place, Isipathana College beat St. Anthony’s College 30-6 at Havelock Park, Trinity College overcame Zahira College 22-11 at Maradana and Kingswood College edged-out Wesley College 17-12 at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy.
