The Lanka Premier League T20 tournament is almost coming to an end with the battle of the second semifinal to decide who will make it to the final which will be between Dambulla Viiking and Jaffna Stallions scheduled to be played under floodlights at the Sooriyawewa Stadium from 7.00 p.m. onwards.
Looking back, the performances of the two teams in the round robin stage, which concluded on December 11, saw Dambulla Viiking led by Dasun Shanaka and Jaffna Stallions led by Thisara Perera ending up in the second and third places in the final standings.
Dambulla Viiking who ended with 11 points recorded wins against Kandy Tuskers by 111 runs, Colombo Kings by 28 runs, two wins against Galle Gladiators by nine runs and four wickets and again got the better of Kandy Tuskers by five wickets.
Jaffna Stallions on the other hand secured nine points gaining wins against Galle Gladiators by eight wickets, Dambulla Viiking by 66 runs and two wins against Kandy Tuskers by 84 runs and six wickets respectively.
