A Poson dansala is held at Pulatisipura every year under the patronage of Number One. The dansala had been held on a grand scale this year too.
A host of Diyawanna politicos would usually attend this annual event given the great significance attached to it due its close association with Number One. However, only a few politicos had attended the Dansala held this year. They too had attended after being summoned by several calls.
In fact, this poor turnout had been a surprise to many who attended the event. While discussing about the conspicuous absence of the usual VIP crowd, one Diyawanna member from the district had quipped: “Our people are good at worshipping the rising Sun and turning their back on the setting Sun!”
