Thanha, Rathi, Ranga’s husbands!!

Nilendra Deshapriya’s internationally acclaimed movie ‘Thanha Rathi Ranga’ was released in Sri Lanka recently and the feedback has been encouraging.

The story and screenplay were written by popular actors Kumara Thirimadura and Sarath Kothelawala who also play the key male characters in the movie together with Namal Jayasinghe.

Posters have sprung up in all parts of the country depicting the three of them. There were posters even in the neighbourhood of Kumara Thirimadura’s house in Nugegoda. Recently Kumara’s wife and their elder daughter Amandya Amilini had gone to a nearby grocery shop to purchase some goods. The shop owner who was known to the Thirimaduras asked them why a film named after three women (Thanha, Rathi and Ranga), carried publicity posters depicting three men. Kumara’s daughter had instantaneously replied saying the three men were the husbands of the three women.
Kumara’s daughter is known for her wit just like her father.
