Offer anything except nomination through National List

Courtiers in and out of the palace these days are playing all tricks of the game to hook at least six Diyawanna members to make up for the recent crossovers to the opposition.
 

One courtier assigned to bait a certain ‘stick in the mud’ from Wayamba made an overture to the latter recently. “I don’t mind coming over to your side if you promise me a sure slot on your national list at the coming general election,” the opposition member said with finality after a long session of haggling.

The courtier dutifully reported the outcome to the Big Boss who quickly reacted to the demand by the opposition member. “Bring anyone prepared to contest the elections. Shun those seeking nomination through our national list,” he told the faithful courtier.
