Our readers may recall the expose we made that a virtually black-listed Colombo businessman was set to resume importing ethanol shipments thanks to the ready patronage forthcoming from a certain ‘Yahapalanya’ Ministerial bigwig.

Both the businessman and the Ministerial godfather concerned, they say, have since then beaten a tactical retreat until the ho, ha over the affair dies down.
Even the gazette notification relating to the issuance of the license was ready for inking when the underhand deal blew up in their face.

Meanwhile, two other Ministerial big guns and a Buddhist monk, a well known ‘Mathata-tita’ activist are poised to pounce on the sly-bigwig, the moment he makes the next move to issue the import license to the ethanol baron.
