A tussle between two politicos and a state official

Two Ministerial ones have been taking an unusual interest in getting the Transport authorities to expedite settlement of some outstanding bills in respect of spare parts supplied to the CTB during the previous regime.

The Transport Ministry’s chief accounting official was highly irked by the pestering by the two Ministerial ones to expedite payment to the spare parts suppliers when his own Ministerial one was silent on the matter.

The Ministerial duo had cajoled and threatened the official, but the official had stood his ground. “I am prepared to go home. I will not make the payments without the Treasury approval,” he had put his foot down. The tussle is expected to drag on with both parties vowing not to give in, they say.
