It has been reported to the bigwigs of the regime that there are three State purohitas who are deliberately keeping away from their Ministries.
The third one is said to be one elected from an area of cool-climate fame representing a minority community. This politico who has got a place in national politics as a legacy from his father would attend his Ministry once in a way, not to work, but to beseech the high-ups of the regime that he be promoted to Cabinet rank! Despite being new to politics, this one likes to make a show of power, they say.
The politico from Pulatisipura who had been away abroad for several months had returned to the country quite recently. He too is said to be asking for Cabinet rank, so that he would be in a position of greater strength to fight with strongmen in his district at the next general polls!
The grouse of the purohita from Negombo is that he has not been given a secretarial one of his choice. He has already named the person he wants as the secretarial one and he is yet to get a positive response from the high-ups of the regime, they say.
