They are lukewarm about the proposed support!

A heavyweight of the Green party is languishing in a State lodge in connection with the bond case these days. He had fallen out with some party high-ups. And there were no immediate signs of the party’s support to him in his hour of need. 

The Green party leader had later at a top-level meeting proposed giving unconditional legal assistance to the colleague in hot water and all others had agreed.

However, some Green stalwarts eyeing the party leadership are said to be dragging their feet. They are reportedly keen on conveying the idea that there are no wrongdoers in the party. The prominent high-up from Galle is heading the group reluctant to help the colleague in hot water, they say.
