The Madam who claims the Blue party as a legacy of hers is said to be calling her party loyalists from various capitals in Europe asking them why they passively looked on when the party was being destroyed.
The recipients of most of her phone calls happen to be her followers from Gampaha, Anuradhapura, Kalutara and Kurunegala. She would tell them in a refrain, “Get ready to work with me when I return home!”
Most Blue party politicos who receive calls from the Madam would greet her requests with a studied silence and she would angrily cut off the call, they say.
The Kalutara rebel is the only follower who readily responds to her calls and he has been offered the post of secretary as the reward.
However, the fact remains that the post offered to him has no validity!
By the way, according to knowledgeable sources, Number One has vowed that he would never hand the party back to the Madam. And the Madam has deferred her return to the country hoping against hope that the dynamics of political change here would take a turn in her favour sooner or later, they say.
