This newly appointed electorate organizer of the political party in the bud at the periphery got soon embroiled in a dispute with the local body members of the same party.
Meanwhile, a group of party activists who opined that dissension within the party when several polls were round the corner could mean much damage to the party, decided to play the peacemaker role.
Having arrived at a general agreement that they should first enlist the backing of the chairman of the local body, a prominent party loyalist himself, for the peace move, the group arrived at the latter’s residence.
However, the reception they got was not what they the least expected! The chairman’s wife came towards them brandishing an axe and screaming epithets at them.
Highly frightened, the peacemakers ran for life in different directions and some of them had found themselves struggling in a stream they had run into!
The chairman’s wife who had reason to dislike the newly appointed electorate organizer was dead against the peace move and wanted to thwart it at any cost, they say.
