The head of an establishment responsible for issuing sand mining permits has reportedly received a ‘go home’ threat, they say.
The threat is said to have been made by a person with a close connection to a very high family in the country. This person has come forward to hold out the threat to the head of the establishment on behalf of his buddies in a remote area engaged in mining sand from the bed of the longest river in the country.
The head of the establishment had complained about the threat to a very high political authority and the latter had advised him to carry out his duties without fear or favour.
Emboldened by the high political authority’s assurance, the establishment head had pursued action against the illicit sand miners. Now the poor man has got information that some goons are out to cause him bodily harm. This story has come from a distant area of ancient kingdom fame.
