A businessman buddy of a powerful politico had applied for a permit to operate a metal quarry in a ‘batalayaya’ area, but the divisional white-collar high-up had rejected the application considering the possible damage to the environment.
However, the businessman had managed to obtain the permit through the intervention of a white-collar bigwig occupying a higher position.
The rumour says that had won the heart of the white-collar bigwig by offering him a donation of Rs. 2 million towards a sports event!
