There is a certain commission authorized to take decisions regarding power cuts. However, a power cut had been imposed quite recently without the approval of this commission.
Meanwhile, they had made informal inquiries as well to find out as to who had dared to issue the order for the power cut defying the authority of the commission. And the inquiries had also revealed that the power cut had occurred without the knowledge of either the general manager or his deputy and several politicized board high-ups had been behind the decision to impose the power cut in question.
A formal inquiry into this high-handed act is said to be underway and the errant high-ups will get their desserts, they say.
