He wanted security in readiness before appointment!

A bizarre incident had happened on the day of the election of new Number One in the Diyawanna council.

A political party leader who had expected to be appointed to the Number Two office had been so certain of that eventuality, he had got down the security squad assigned to the Number Two position to his office in the council! He had also planned to remove the security assigned to two top team members who had defected from his political party to take up the portfolios in the government! 

When his expectations fizzled out, he had quietly sent back the security squad he had got down to his office.  This matter is now under investigation by authorities, they say.
